Founding members

Applications open

A small first cohort, writing the rules while building the network.

We are recruiting a limited group of providers to run the first multi-provider interconnect and to settle the technical and governance rules that everyone who joins later will inherit.

Pilot scope

Deliberately narrow. The pilot exists to prove the peering model works between real providers and to produce operating rules that survive contact with production traffic.

What each member gets

  • A federation connection and completed technical certification.
  • Registration in the eligibility directory for the destinations you serve.
  • A controlled RTP path for federation sessions.
  • Usage records for traffic in both directions.
  • A shared support and escalation process across the cohort.
  • A seat in the charter discussion, with a real vote on the rules.

What we ask in return

  • Engineering time to stand up the interconnect and complete certification.
  • Willingness to route eligible traffic once the peer is live — a pilot with no traffic teaches us nothing.
  • Participation in the charter and operating-rule discussions.
  • Honest feedback, including when the integration does not fit your platform.

The pilot excludes general PSTN fallback termination, promises nothing about pricing against wholesale minutes, and confers no regulatory exemption of any kind.

The participant profile we are looking for

You do not need to match every line. These are the traits that make the first cohort work.

01

Routing control

You operate business voice and control — or can influence — outbound routing, and can add a federation peer or a compatible external route decision.

02

A real customer base

You serve a meaningful base of business customer numbers or identities, so registered destinations represent genuine reachability.

03

An interest in peering

You want a neutral peering relationship with other providers, and you are prepared to argue about the rules rather than wait for them.

Application

Apply to become a founding member

Tell us about your platform, your customer profile, and what you want out of this. We read every application and reply either way. Applying commits you to nothing.

How much routing control do you have?
What are you interested in? Select all that apply.

We use this to assess fit for the pilot and to prepare a first conversation. We do not share applications with other members or third parties, and applying does not commit you to joining.

Vendors, platforms, and partners

Start a partnership discussion

If you build a softswitch, SBC, routing engine, or communications platform, the adapter question affects your customers directly. We would rather work out integration paths with you than around you.

What kind of partnership?

Partnership discussions are separate from membership. Being a vendor partner does not make an organization a member, and does not give it a vote.

Pilot progress

Where the pilot stands

  • Cohort recruitment

Applications are open. We are looking for a small number of providers with genuine routing control and a real business customer base.

  • Charter drafting

The proposed governance structure is published for comment and will be revised with the founding cohort before ratification.
